Ellendale Parks & Recreation offers seasonal activities, park spaces, swimming,
youth recreation programs, camping, and community facilities for residents and visitors.

Ellendale City Pool
Season: June – August
Notice: The kiddie pool is currently in the process of being repaired. Updates will be posted as available.
Swimming Lessons
Red Cross Learn-to-Swim classes are offered for Levels 1–6 as group lessons.
2026 Lesson Dates: June 22 – July 3, 2026
Lesson Days: Monday–Friday for two weeks
Lesson Fee: $50 per child
Private Lessons: $100, please see the pool manager

Oster Park offers camping hookups and outdoor recreation space in Ellendale
There are 3 camping full hookup sites available

Brandenburger park
Brandenburger Park provides a welcoming outdoor space for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Ellendale Country Club
The Ellendale Country Club is located 5 miles south of Ellendale on Hwy 281. It is a 9-hole par 36 grass green course with driving range. It has a full bar and restaurant.
Mens’ night is Thursday.
Ladies’ night is Monday.
USGA winter rules govern pay except local rules.

Youth Recreation Programs
Ellendale offers a variety of youth recreation opportunities throughout the spring and summer.

Youth Co-Ed Soccer
Ages: 5 through 6th grade
Season: Practices and jamborees in April and May

Programs: T-Ball, Cal Ripken, Pony
Season: End of May through June

Babe Ruth Baseball
Babe Ruth Baseball is sponsored by the American Legion. Athletes ages 13–15 are eligible to play, with age 16 allowed after August 1. Teams play in the Dickey-Lamoure League.
American Legion Baseball
The Ellendale American Legion Baseball Team plays approximately 40 games per summer. Athletes ages 16–18 are eligible. The Legion plays in District 7.
