Call for Proposals
The City of Ellendale hereby invites proposals for performing mowing services for the Ellendale City Cemetery. Services to be provided, at a minimum, shall include:
- Mowing entire area from road to fence line approx. 1200 ft X 780 ft= once every 10 days
- Weed eat (trim) all markers and trees- every 10 days
- Fill in holes, low spots, graves as needed (compost will be supplied by city)
- Remove branches, flowers and debris as needed
- Light pruning as needed
- Must be mowed and trimmed within 3 days before Memorial Day
- Contractor will supply all labor, tools, equipment, gas and oil needed
- Contractor is responsible for all damages done by their employees and equipment
- Contractor cannot cover stones with grass
- If there is any major storm damage. City Public Works will assist in clean up
- City of Ellendale will oversee for compliance by Contractor with these terms
- Contractor must be 18 or older to be awarded this Contract
- If work is not in compliance with stated specs City of Ellendale reserves the right to release contractor from the contract
The contract for mowing service shall run from May 12, 2026, through December 31, 2026. A copy of the contract may be reviewed at City Hall.
Please hand in all proposals by Friday May 8, 2026, to City Hall by 4 pm.
